Documents, especially ones that have signatures such as employment records, contracts, hospital records, mortgages, liens, county records, criminal records, and more have been committed to film due to archival or government requirements. 16 mm roll film contain roughly 2000 to 5000 images, they can be simplex (one document per frame) or duplex (two documents per frame). 16mm roll film can be positive or negative, and thick or thin.
